The BELLEVUE**** Grand Hotel hotel complex is located in the centre of the High Tatras, in Horný Smokovec – at an altitude of 1010 m at the foot of the Slavkovský Peak, in a place called Pekná Vyhliadka. Its translation into the French language also provided the name of the hotel BELLEVUE.
The current BELLEVUE**** Grand Hotel was created by the merger of two Tatra hotels – the Bellevue Hotel and the Sport Hotel.
The strategic location of the hotel is a suitable prerequisite for the fulfilment of the intention to create a hotel complex that can provide a unique space for business, relaxation and sport. The hotel is easily accessible by car, train, bus and plane.
From the European point of view, the High Tatras are an original combination of natural beauties, high mountain environment with ideal conditions for hiking and skiing, as well as climatic spas, using the healing effects of the combination of altitude with sunshine and clean air.

Hotel history
The history of the Bellevue and Sport hotels dates back to the 1960s. At the time of its opening, the Bellevue Hotel was one of the flagships of the hotel industry not only in the High Tatras but in the whole of the then Czechoslovakia. It was the first hotel in the country to boast its own indoor swimming pool. It was the Bellevue Hotel where the interior scenes of the now cult Czechoslovak film The Copper Tower were filmed.
